We just got back from a much needed winter escape! We found AMAZING flight prices out of Las Vegas, so we decided to go!! We're glad we did!
1st off... I packed way too many bags! Jeff and I checked 2 regular sized suit cases, carried on 2 small suit cases, 1 was Wyatt's, 1 was other necessary things. I had Wyatt's diaper bag, Jeff had his backpack, we had our HUGE Bob stroller (which is really nice, its just HUGE! Should have taken my small umbrella stroller, but I had good intentions to go running everyday in the warmth!?) & last but not least, Wyatt's carseat. That makes for lots of stuff to get thru security!!
Pretty much people could have paid $$ to watch the show as we went passed thru security. Wyatt was screaming--so I was holding him and trying to push the stroller, car seat, and carry the diaper bag. Security is ridiculous these days! Its a baby and belongings, not bombs and anthrax!! Jeff somehow managed to loose his wedding ring in the mix up of all the shuffle, ugh! But we made it and Wyatt ended up being absolutely perfect on the airplane, which I was very relieved about!!
We lucked out and rearranged out seats so we had the middle row with 3 seats, giving us one for Wyatt to be able to kick and play.
We got in late and woke up to a beautiful sight!! So green, blue, and warm! Absolutely perfect!
Wyatt LOVED the water!
He pretty much lived in his diaper and onesie the whole week. He found his toes and loved the fresh air breeze!
Funny old man we saw riding his bike with his pet bird that he has had for 20 years. We had a good laugh as we flagged him down so we could take pictures with his bird.
We saw lots of whales everyday!

Jeff could have spent every minute on this slide! Him and John pretty much broke every rule going down, head first, turning around in the middle, running start, etc. They had some good laughs!

We grilled down by the pool one night, which was really fun!

Kapalua Golf Course = AMAZING! So pretty! We had a delicious brunch there on Sunday morning! A MUST see and MUST eat for BRUNCH!
We had lots of fun and all my nervous feeling about taking Wyatt were eased when we got there. It was a much different vacation with a little one (lots of shade time, nap time, and low key) but we still had a great time and can't wait to go back!

ReplyDeleteFun!! We are going on a cruise next week and I've been super nervous about it! It's good to know traveling with Wyatt went well! Where did you get his cute hat and swim suit? I was planning on taking our BOB but was it a pain? I just ordered an umbrella stroller. Would you recommend just taking that? What about driving around? Did you just bring his carseat/base everywhere? Ah it seems stressful. Any advice/tips you have would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks sar. You look great!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun getaway! It is beautiful there! I LOVE Hawaii! Wyatt is the cutest little boy ever! We took Gwen to Hawaii around his same age and they love the water. It's pure paradise for babies to be outside in the warm weather. I took my BOB as well and it was totally worth it. No other stroller would do very well in the sand. I'm happy you had a wonderful vacation!
